I dropped my coby kyros mid7048 tablet on carpet and the screen is now covered in black spots and black, white and colored lines. Is there any way I'd be able to fix it myself, bring it in somewhere to get it fixed or is it gone for good?

The screen-logic board connector cable just got loose most likely, I'll see if I can find a guide for opening your device. Could you post some close up pictures of the front/back/sides of the device so I can assist in getting it open?

Hi Robert I seen your comment and I was wondering if you could help me also. My tablet fell on the floor like Ashley's but mine is showing colored lines and a big black spot in the middle but the difference with mine is that I can still use it but the screen is the only problem.
Ok, so this sounds like a similar issue, what is your tablet model?
I brought my tablet into the local computer store and asked if my tablet was fixable, he said yes, but it would be a lot cheaper to just replace the tablet than to get it fixed.

Yea, I have the JLab Pro-7. My dog stepped on the screen and cracked it.I am not able to open my owner page because cannot swipe the lock pattern. Is this a fixable delema ? Where and how would I change the screen?

To be honest with that curved line in the LCD, I would say your LCD is cracked. That black area on the side looks like "bleed". I would examine the LCD through the glass. If you shut the tablet off or put it to sleep so the screen is dark, you can take a flashlight and look for cracks. Hair line fracture will tend to show up with a flash light or even in a very well lit environment. Sometimes looking at the screen from different angles helps to. If you don't see and fractures you can try to reseat the connector. Though it looks like the LCD is damaged to me.
You can try to locate parts for that tablet. I would say try ifixit.com or eBay. Your going to look for a display assembly. This will be both digitizer and LCD. You can also look here as well as YouTube to see if you can find a how to as far as replacement. If it looks like something you don't want or can't do, try a local repair shop. They will give you a quote and you can determine if you want to repair or replace.
