How do I by a new monitor screen
This ifixit is about REPLACING the display but I do not see where I can buy a NEW display? Where can I buy one of those?

houston, the model number of your LCD should be a LG LM270WQ1(SD)(E3). You do want to verify this before you do anything else. With that number you can do a Google search and get a replacement LCD

So short of removing the LCD from the computer, is there any other way to verify this?
try this in your terminal mode. ioreg -lw0 | grep IODisplayEDID | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6
I get this info back from terminal. Not sure what it means.http://grab.by/GY0s
