No, it will not fit any of the Retina models.
If you review the IFIXIT guide here: MacBook Pro 13" Retina Display Late 2012 SSD Replacement you'll see the SSD drive is very different than the 2.5 WD Black2 SATA drive.

Any hard drive as long as it connects with data and is 2.5" size will fit. If I'm correct you are wanting to use a 3.5" desktop drive. Might I suggest the seagate sshd. It's a hard drive with an 8 gb Ssd cache to make commonl used files load faster. And it's avai in a laptop size

@Wes - Remember the Retina modes have M.2 SSD's. It can't support a 2.5 SATA drive.
Thanks for the responses it is really appreciated but in order to recieve the correct info that I need all future responses must know what a WD Back2 drive is it is an western digital dual hybrid hdd consisting of 120gb of ssd space (for os and other designated programs to run and load faster) and a terabyte of sata space for everything else it is not a 3.5 and it is not and external I have howerver view the video stated in yhe responses several times before posting it was helpful but did not answer any of my questions... Hence the post looking forward to more helpful info in future responses thanks again
We get that - but the computer that you've listed as yours is a Retina 13" (MacBookPro10,2), which does not use a 2.5" drive at all. If you haven't identified the computer accurately, then our answers will all point in the wrong direction. If you have a Retina MacBook Pro, Dan's absolutely right: The WD Black2 will not work. Do you have a 2012 Retina, or a 2012 Unibody 13" (MacBookPro9,2)? A Unibody can use a 2.5" SATA drive, such as the Black2. It's worth noting that the Mid 2012 (Unibody/non-Retina) 13" MacBook Pro has been available almost unchanged for three years. When you say "late 2012", we assume you mean the Retina 13" which was released in late 2012. What counts is when the model was introduced, not when you bought it.
The confusion is not with what fits again as stated before saw the video more than once the answer I present not gor dan if you read all the postings in s was to explain that the WD back2 drive was not a 3.5 so that to clear up confusion in case someone in the future may look to purchase one basically I dont need correction !!! You need to read first before expressing half an opinion you were never ask to share
@Joey - Can you clarify which system you have. We all want to make sure we answer you correctly here.
