Holding and Dragging Glitch (Samsung Galaxy Tab 4)

I've had this problem ever since I've bought my tablet. I would try to drag/hold a button, and after a few seconds, it would be like my finger was never there, even though I'm still holding it down. For example, if I was dragging a joystick around on the tablet, after a few seconds, the joystick just snaps right back into its normal position, even though my finger is held in a different place. This is really annoying, please help?

Hi,

Check what the value of the Press and Hold Delay setting is and also if turning on the Interaction Control setting will help you.

From home, tap Apps > Settings > Device Tab tap Accessibility > Dexterity and interaction to configure options:

I tried it, bit the glitch pursues. It seems to me I can't push down multiple buttons at once, since then the screen just glitches back and it would seem as I have never done anything. But this isn't always the case. Press and Hold Delay doesn't do anything, as it just changes the amount of time for the system to respond. Interaction Control doesn't work either.

Hi,

You may have to prove whether it is a 'hardware' or 'software' related problem. Suggest that you backup your Tab using the tab's backup feature, then factory reset your Tab. Then try to see if the 'touchscreen' behaves properly using Dexterity & Interaction etc. If it doesn't you may have a hardware problem. If it does restore your Tab using the tab's restore feature and see how it behaves. If it works properly something got glitched and has now restored to normal. If it doesn't work properly (like it did before you started all this) it may be a software problem and perhaps one of your downloaded apps is the cause. You will need to check each one of your downloaded apps to see if it has "permission' to control your touchscreen or something like that. If you find several that do have 'permission' you may have to temporarily uninstall it to see if it is the one causing the problem

Ahh! I think I've figured it out! I've done some experimentation with the Tab, and it seems that whenever the RAM of the device falls below a certain number, it starts the screen-glitch. I'm not exactly sure if this is definitely the case, but I feel it might be. I need to know if anyone else has this problem?
