I assume you mean the little ball on the stand came out of the socket molded into the back of the tomtom case. You simple apply a little pressure and rotate the stand (ball) stem while making sure the front is on a smooth surface that can support the front of the screen while not putting any damaging pressure on the touch screen itself. I've had to do this multiple times on ours and on friends tomtom as well.
