Why does my coffee taste bad?

My coffee usually tastes good. Recently though, my coffee has tasted worse and the coffee grounds are kind of gritty in the coffee. What should I do to correct this?

If your coffee is tasting bad, it could be a result of poor water quality, incorrect coffee to water ratio, the coffee grounds are either too fine or too coarse, or the coffee maker might be dirty. Solutions to these issues can be found in the Hamilton Beach 48464 Troubleshooting page.
