Display screen replacement glass

I have a scratched Display on my A1502 MacBook Pro. Where can I find a replacement glass? would the glass replacement of older model work for me?

Have you looked at some videos, and stores? I just found millions of different screens on Ebay, you may have to look more if the location of the seller is not near your location. Most cost under 200 $, if you are betting the money, then go ahead. I would also look at the location of the scratch, if it ruins the showcase of the content somehow, and the size.

I have a link, maybe check it out. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/17242023499...

Thank you, but actually I'm not looking for a change to the whole screen, but rather a replacement of the glass cover of the screen. something similar to this:

but would be suitable for the A1502

Thank you for alerting me about that, I will try and look.

Yes, its a screen protector, but it does cover up the crack in some way :) ( or if I am wrong)

@gregl & @odissine - Sorry guys all of the retina displays in the 13" & 15"systems use a laminated screen/cover glass design unlike the older Unibody which had two parts.

I packed a camera in my messenger bag and now have rub marks on my glass. Has anyone ever been able to 'polish' this out?

Thank you;

Update (04/19/2022)

Hello Dan et at.,

The damage to my screen was in fact pressure on the lid of the MacBook forcing the screen to rub against the keyboard and body and wearing away the antiglare coating.

After some Internet research (and a few sips of courage), I settled on trying baby wipes (with aloe for my hands of course), to see if I could remove the anti-glare coating all together. It took about an hour and 15 or so wipes but the coating did come off

In the first image, the blue arrow is the finish prior to removal and the red arrow points to wear the coating was completely removed. The wipes worked well and all it took was the addition of some elbow grease! The screen quality is excellent when I am indoors, but when I am near windows the glare is distracting, rating it as fair.

I was also able to find "Supershieldz- Anti-Glare & Anti-Fingerprint (Matte) Screen Protector" for my MacBook 12,1 (1502), from Amazon and should have these within a week or so.

Cheeers...

@rangifer - Sorry, your between a rock and a hard place here ;-{

The screen has a anti-reflective coating on its surface which is what likely is damaged here. There is no means to polish off the rub marks out as all you'll end up doing is remove the coatings! Basically making a bigger mess.

With that said... Many people who has serious markings end up just bitting the bullet and completely remove the coatings across the full display.
