Say, "Alexa volume 10." Then ask it anything else to see if it responds. I'm thinking the echo accidentally got muted.

Say Alexa to change Volume like
"Alexa, turn up volume".
"Alexa, set the Volume to 10"

Say unmute. Then specify your chosen volume level.

Mine's actually Gen 1; but, I had the same problem just last night. I unplugged 'her' and let her re-establish a connection to my wi-fi. She said 'hello' so I asked her a question. The light came on, indicating which microphone heard me, then the light ring just circled back to nothing, with no response. WTH?
