shut down when charger disconnected
why does my computer shut off when i disconnect the charger and try to go on battery power?

@jhb , Joe, It is possible the battery is faulty. Try a reset, disconnect charger and remove battery, press and hold power button for 10 seconds, and leave the laptop for a couple minutes. Then reconnect the battery and charger, and try booting it. You can also check the battery perhaps with a DVOM to see if it is holding much of a charge while it is out. Good luck. My laptop shows the battery is at 100%, but the orange light doesn't come on. Laptop works fine when plugged in, but only green light is on, not the battery charging light.
