My 18-55 mm lens is not working in AF mode. the outer cylinder is kind of struck and could not focus.
help out with the issue!
Bu iyi bir soru mu?
I have been having a similar issue with my 18-55mm 600D , it is possible that the Ribbon wire (responsible for the camera and lens communication) inside the Lens barrel has been damaged.
in my case I would re-seat/re-attach my lens until the AF works again.
It does work after a few attempts

Can you feel the autofocus motor trying to move it? If it's physically stuck it could be dirt in between the lens barrel sections. You can sometimes clean it out by alternately applying the crevice nozzle of a vacuum cleaner, and running the corner of a piece of good quality paper around the barrel between the sections.
