I inherited a Panasonic KX-E603 and use it in my child care. Lately the paper roller seems loose and won't roll in new paper. Is there a way to adjust the roller?

Here is a link to the ifixit Panasonic KX-E603 Stepper Motor Replacement guide.
It is useful because at Step 6. in the procedure it mentions roller wheel adjustment knobs. Perhaps you can adjust the roller wheel tension by use of the knobs.
Hopefully this is of some help.

I ended up taking the roller out and found 2 plates each having two smaller rollers (to assist with rolling the paper in and out). one of the side supports had broken for the left plate. I stuck in a piece of a coffee stirrer to support where the support was missing. Put it all back together and working just fine now! I will save your info for future reference!! Thank you!

Hopefully the "coffee stirrer piece" (and the glue?) will go the distance.
