Battery was charged in reverse
Hi i have a 1997 toyota camry le 2.2 L
My battery died and i replaced with a reman battery from my job “ i work with battery starter and alternators” when i hooked cables up the car started cranking with no key in ignition. Disconnected and tried couple more times. Just curious got my volt meter and nothing. Baffeled i decided to reverse the meter and got 12.63 volts so the battery was completely drained and charged backwards ( ive seen it happen multiple times ) meaning the postive was actually negative and the negative was actually positive. I got new battery tested with volt meter put in car turned key and all it did was crank. Check and replaced cpl fuses got car starter and was able to make home with nothing working no lights heat or ac brake lights radio nothing. Replace 100 amp fuse and all accessories are working but now car will start then shut right back off even if i hold foot on pedal. Also the radio has a real bad high picth noise comeing from speakers with the key off. If i leave battery connected it will drain overnight. All fuses are good. Alternator is good.
Could the ecm be fried or shorted??
Hopefully someone can help me this is my only car and cannot afford to get another one so ive been walking and taking uber for the past 2 weeks.
Thanks

Have you checked the fusible links and relays in the relay/fuse boxes under the hood? Here is a link for what a fusible link looks like: https://www.autozone.com/electrical-and-...
