type c port doesnt chargr any more

Things to try and check:

a). Check in Device Manager that the USB Power Management option, Allow the computer to turn turn off the device to save power has been disabled. Go to Device Manager > click on + Universal Serial Bus controllers to expand the list > right click on a Root Hub entry > Properties > Power Management You will have to check all the root hub entries as I don’t know which one is for the USB -C port in your particular laptop. If you have to disable the setting in any Root Hub, don’t forget to click OK and then after you’ve checked all the Root Hub entries, restart the laptop and check if the port works OK. Here’s an image to show where I mean.

b). Uninstall all the USB Host Controllers shown in Device Manager (right click on each entry) and then restart the laptop and let Windows ‘find’ and reinstall them and then check if it works OK

c). Use a strong light and a magnifying glass to visually inspect the USB port to check that all the pins are there, that they are all straight and parallel with each other and also that there is no dust or lint trapped in the port enclosure. If there is debris in the port enclosure, do not use a pin or probe to try and remove it as you may damage the pins or perhaps even components on the motherboard. Use a vacuum cleaner and try to suck out the obstruction.

If none of the above work you may have a hardware problem.
