A couple drops of water and my screen is dim?

Mid 2013 MacBook air. Got a few drops of water around the delete key and now the screen is dim. It appeared to be out but when I shine a light on it I can see a bit so it’s still working, just dark. Hooked up to a monitor right now and working fine, just not portable. I’ve seen other posts on this but no real solutions that I can find. Fairly handy so I’m happy to get out the tools. Much obliged for the assistance.

it is most likely dry but it may already have caused corrosion. You will have to start disassembling it and take a look at what you got going on. The very first thing, once it is apart, would be to check the connector for corrosion, check for obviously damaged components and check the backlight fuse. Use this guide MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 Logic Board Replacement to work on it and this guide Adding images to an existing question to post some good pictures of your board and teh dispaly connector.

Checked the backlight fuse. It ohms out fine. No Corrosion anywhere and the logic board looks fine. Checked all connections. As I said, I can see the screen on when I shine a light on it. Also, the apple doesn't light up on the back anymore.

Is it dark like the screen brightness is turned down to its lowest setting or is it completely dark like the backlight isn’t coming on at all? If it is completely dark then I would suspect that some water made it to the logic board. If the screen is lit up dimly, like the screen brightness is all the way down, it is possible that the F1 key got some moisture in it and is stuck. Seeing as how you said that the water was spilled near the delete key and that is where the screen LVDS connector is located, I’m guessing some water made its way to the logic board. I would say disassembly and drying is the first step.

It’s dark like you have to shine a flashlight on it to see anything. It’s been about a month of using it so I would think it would be dry by now. It is my first time though so maybe not.
