Top part of screen not responding to touch
After doing a ifixit screen replacement for my iphone5, all is working except the top 1/3 of the screen. Can’t swipe up there nor can I select any of the apps.

Check the screen digitizer seal. Remove the LCD and look at the little black rubber seal around the clear portion of the screen. There may also be a connection issue with the logic board where some pins may not connect fully.
