The unit builds up pressure, but cook timer does not start.

Hello - My unit is functioning, heating, and building up pressure, but the timer never begins - it just stays on “Heat” mode. Is there some sort of switch I can adjust internally to get the timer to begin once the unit has built up pressure?

Hi @rivenroe ,

Has it ever worked OK?

I’m wondering if there is a problem with the pressure sensor in the cooker.

According to the user manual:

When the Multi-Cooker is gaining pressure, “HEAt” will appear on the Display Screen and the time will not count down. When pressure has been reached, “HEAt” will disappear on the Display Screen, and the time will begin to count down.

Have you tried adjusting the pressure to see if this resolves the problem?

To Change the Pressure: You can change the pressure on certain pre-set functions before cooking begins by pressing the PRESSURE ADJUST button before pressing START/STOP.

If it still doesn’t work, how long have you had the cooker?

There is a 12 month manufacturer’s warranty on the product. If it is still within the warranty period, contact the manufacturer’s consumer affairs department as per the warranty card that came with the cooker (or see the manual) as to what to do to make a claim for a warranty repair or replacement.

Just leave it for ages worked for me.

After about 30 mins it worked.

I did the "test" with 3 cups of water (as in the Learn to use your Cooker). It still stayed on Heat. After 35 mins I turned it off, and checked and all the water had gone. But still had not moved to Cook time.

Do you know what the issue could be?
