Can a broken wifi/bluetooth wire be reconnected without soldering?
Thanks to the wonderful information on this site I was recently able to successfully replace the keyboard on my macbook for $40 after a coffee spill (I now use a sippy cup when the laptop is open!).
However… after re-assembly my bluetooth didn’t seem to be working (wifi is fine). I don’t use bluetooth much for peripherals but it apparently is necessary for airdropping things between my macbook and ipads which is something that I do A LOT for my work.
I have traced the problem to a broken wire going from the wifi card to the display assembly (shown here):
Please note that I am NOT a computer techie, just someone who is probably too brave about opening my stuff and rummaging around. I do not have access to a soldering gun. Although I prefer to fix things myself if I can, I am happy to admit defeat if it is beyond my capabilities. I don’t have access to an apple authorized servicer where I live (and they often frown on self-repairs anyway).
MY QUESTION IS:
1) Could this wire be fixed without soldering, even if the result imperfect?
1b) If it can be fixed but soldering would be required I’d still like to know that - I might be able to find a general computer repairperson around my town.
Bu iyi bir soru mu?
