Why does my computer barely work while charging?

Try replacing the battery and see if this resolves the problem.

Be aware that there are sections of the motherboard that are essentially “live” even though the laptop is turned off. The Power button is not a power isolating switch. Disconnect the battery from the motherboard as soon as you have access to the battery cable connector, to prevent any electrical problems on the motherboard, due to tools accidentally slipping etc when dis-assembling further to remove the battery. Physical damage to the components is another matter ;-)

On p.91-92, you’ll find all the battery part numbers for the batteries that are available for the various models.

Confirm the battery model number with what is printed on the battery in your laptop and then search online, using the battery part number only in the search box of your browser to get results for suppliers.
