The fuse F1 on my brush gets blown when I turn it on. When replaced, I can charge the brush, all LED come on and U2 IC gets super hot. I assume this one drains a lot off current, tripping the fuse. I can’t find any information on what the IC is. On my toothbrush that IC has IU2FJ on it, another has IU2GG on it. I was looking for a 6 pin TSOP IU2 IC, but can’t find anything. I assume is some kind of power management IC.

If you can’t find the compatible replacement component here’s an option to consider if your toothbrush is either of the two models listed.
The following links may also provide some information that may be helpful regarding repairs and other parts etc, if the need arises in the future.

I was considering a new motherboard for a short while, but now it became a need to fix it and find out what has failed. Thanks for the links anyways :)

To be honest with you need to get the schematic of it to get its part number
You would be hoping that you get it from the IC on top but it seems that not all of it is there

I found that but that doesn’t explain what the chip does. And is most likely pulled from another PCB. I bought couple motherboards for cheap of eBay, and pulled the chip from that, the heat is gone, but the fuse is still blowing for me.
Thanks anyway for a try. I’ll be trying to fix this motherboard just for the sake of finding out what has failed.
