Why is my iPhone X randomly shutting off?

I recently noticed that my iphone X (64gb) has been randomly shutting off. It started happening first with watching videos such as YouTube but became much more consistant as time went on to now just shutting off even after just rebooting it.

I did notice the issue begun about 2 days after dropping the phone, however the phone has NO water damage at all. With that being said I visit the apple store with no help except a “hard factory reset” which we did and did not fix the issue.

In analytics the page is full after one and another “bug type 211” and throughout the coding, the one repeated line is “Gesturetype UIGestureStudyInteractionEventTypeLongPress” Has Attention; null: Movement “Orientation”

Orientation seems to be the common repeated word throughout analytic log.

I recently also noticed that the phone sometimes will begin to overheat to the touch with minimal usage no usage at all.

The issues have gotten so persistent that I had to switch to my i7 in the meantime. any advice would be much appreciated. thank you

The iPhone X has extraordinarily thin logic boards, two of them sandwiched together. They are very susceptible to cracked solder balls, either in the interposer (which connects the two layers) or on the boards themselves.

At this point, you will need to troubleshoot the phone with the notion that this is a hardware issue. It could be modular in nature, i.e., the screen or a camera or other flex or it could be logic board related. You could bring the phone to it’s essentials, board, battery and charge port, and then connect it to an iTunes enabled computer. If the computer recognizes it and maintains a solid connection, then the issue is probably modular in nature. Otherwise, it is logic board related and will need to be looked at by an experienced micro-solderer.
