Keyboard issues, what do I need to do to fix it

Hi,

I’m facing a problem while logging into my Macbook Air. My son entered the wrong password several times to log in and it got locked.

But when I tried to log in using recovery assistant, I’m not able to type anything using my keyboard. Thus it is not letting me to log in. In that recovery assistant or even log-in Window I cannot go to virtual keyboard to type my password either.

I have tried SMC or PRAM resets. But even then my keyboard is not letting me top type password.

Can you help me please?

Thanking you-

I’m suspecting your keyboard and trackpad are being pressed upon from your battery pressing on the cables.

Follow this guide to carefully remove the bottom cover to remove the battery MacBook Air 13" Early 2015 Battery Replacement. With the battery removed and nothing connected press the power button to discharge the circuit for a good 30 secs. Now carefully plug in the MagSafe charger the system should spontaneously restart. Does the keyboard and trackpad work?

If it does look at the battery for any swelling.

Let us know what you find.
