Backplate refuses to come off.

Hey guys so I got a new 3DS Xl and when I tried to remove the backplate to access the micro SD, it refuses to budge. Both screws are turning and can loosen but it just won't come off for some reason. I have applied a bit of force with my nails and used the stylus but nothing worked.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ran into similar issues? Thanks.
