Webcam is not detected in stock camera app, I have the latest drivers

Just verifying that you toggled Fn + F8 to see if the camera is being turned on and off?

If the laptop’s display works OK then the camera’s motherboard connection should also be OK as the camera circuit wiring is part of the EDP cable from the display to the motherboard.

It may either be a loose cable connection on the camera module or a faulty camera module.

Here’s the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop.

Go to p.58 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the web cam.

If it is determined that the camera is faulty, the part number is 5C20N00247.
