Hi @lesat61 ,
There is a drain tube leading from under the evaporator unit in the freezer compartment down to the evaporator pan under the compartments near the compressor. (evap unit is located behind a panel at the back inside the freezer compartment - access from inside the compartment)
This allows the meltwater from when the evaporator is being defrosted during the auto defrost cycle to drain away and evaporate.
If the drain tube is blocked then the water cannot drain away and overflows into the compartment.
Remove the panel and check that the drain is not blocked by pouring a measured amount of water (cupful?) down the drain and check that it all gets to the evap. pan.
If there is accumulated ice build up on the evap. unit then there is a defrost problem (intermittent?) as it should be defrosted approx. every 10 hours and it shouldn’t be that much.
This could be caused by a faulty defrost heater, faulty defrost thermostat, a blocked drain or a faulty control board.
Here are all the parts for the refrigerator. It is only shown to give an idea of where they’re located. If you find a faulty part there are other suppliers that may suit you better. Just search for RS25H5000WW/AA parts to get results.
