Bosch dishwasher shu3302uc/12 making noise and getting no water.

Money is tight and I’m really trying to avoid a repairman. My dishwasher suddenly started making a humming noise and is getting no water input. I took off the foot plate and got all of the water out of the bottom hoping maybe the float was stuck and no change. I don’t know exactly where the float is on this model so I havent looked at it but there are no big food particles or anything that I can see. Any help at all would be very very appreciated. Thank you so much.

Check if the water inlet valve, part #19 base diagram is OK.

If it is faulty it will need it be replaced as it cannot be repaired.

The supplier linked above is only to show you where it is located and what it looks like. There are other suppliers online that may suit you better. Just search for Bosch 00425458 to get results.

I realize that you said money is tight but it still may be worthwhile to invest in the service manual. This will help you as it will show how to get into the diagnostic mode to test all the functions, has schematics etc. Saves a lot of time and guesswork.

If you have a DMM, disconnect the power to the dishwasher and then check the valve coil for continuity to prove that the coil is OK.

if it is reconnect the power and turn on the dishwasher and check that there is voltage getting to the valve. Be safety aware as I think it operates at mains supply voltage value.

If there is voltage there then the valve should be operating and water should flow in. The noise you mentioned could be the valve trying to operate but not succeeding and it is just buzzing and not really opening.

The valves are spring loaded so that an electric current is used to open the valve and to close it the power supply is disconnected from the valve and the spring closes it. The spring tension is sufficient to close it against the water pressure
