Brydge 12.3 pro - how to force restart?

hi everyone!

I Bought a while back a brydge keyboard for my wife’s surface pro

The keyboard works almost perfect 90% of the time but every once in a while something gets stocked on the keyboard internal software/hardware and the mouse quits working (this goes beyond the fn + alt key)

To fix it we need to wait until the battery runs out of the keyboard and then everything comes back up to working state

I’ve tried googling about this issue online, contacted brydge - which is when we learned to let the battery just run out - however this process can take a really long time. Has anyone here has ever had this keyboard? I’m thinking it might be possible to unscrew somewhere to detach a battery and force a keyboard reset but I’m afraid to do it without any guide lines

Keyboard is Brydge 12.3 pro+

Thanks and hope you all have a great holiday

Hi Jose, was wondering if you ever found a solution to your keyboard?

I recently bought one and the trackpad has not worked from day your post about letting the battery drain is the first and only I have found with something resembling a fix and I am looking forward to trying it. I cannot return the keyboard because I live in Africa (Tanzania) and I had a friend bring it from Spain and he ad ordered it online form the us.

if opening the keyboard and detaching the battery is a fix then I am all in to trying that as well. Let me know how your went if you have tried opening it already

Hi,

If you're feeling adventurous, here's a video that shows how to open a Brydge keyboard.

It doesn't state which model it is but hopefully they're all very similar.

In this video the battery can be seen from about 1:00 minute in. It is the yellow rectangular object so presumably it is either a LiPo or a Li-Ion type battery.

With some luck all you may have to do is to remove the metal plate covering the board to see where the battery connects to on the board. Worst case is that the battery leads are soldered to the board and you have to un-solder them to disconnect it.
