Ps2 30001R broke fan connector off board

Opened console to clean and tried to remove fan plug from connector on board and removed the whole connector piece. One of the tiny metal legs were broken as well. Has anyone been able to fix this?

I did this exact same thing. So there are the 2 points that are side by side and then the 2 that are on either side of the connector. Do the pieces on the sides of the connector do anything? Do they need to be resoldered too or do they just hold it in place? I successfully resoldered the two points that are side by side and the fan will not power on. Going to try again soon.

@sky123 it will have to be re-soldered. The issue will now be, how badly the board got damaged and if the solder pads and and traces can still be used. We will have to see the damage. Post some pictures of that with your question

@sky123 looks like the pads and traces are intact. Now you just need somebody to solder it back on for you or you can solder the wires directly to the pad. Makes it a PITA to remove the next time but it's possible.
