Please verify that the smartwatch is a DZ09?
Have you checked that the sim card service provider's network utilizes 2G GSM network?
The DZ09 smartwatch only supports 2G signalling which has generally been phased out most everywhere

You can connect it to a mobile phone using Bluetooth i.e. no SIM card is needed, but this means that the phone would always have to be within 30' of the watch otherwise BT won't stay connected.
You may as well just use the phone.
Here's the user manual that may help.
To use a SIM card in the watch for phone and internet access the service provider needs to have a 2G network so you would need to have the appropriate 2G nano SIM card from them for it to work. There may be some 2G providers still left in your location but as I said I doubt it as even 3G is being phased out.
