I have a yard sale Macintosh Plus with external DirectDrive20 by Jasmine. When I turn it on, I get a sad-face Mac error code of 0143B8. I haven't been able to find this code on the internet. Can anyone tell be the bad news on this one?

@sadmac30281 no bad news. you are dealing with a 30+ year piece o equipment here.Hope you did not expect this to be a plug-and-play situation ;-) Sounds to me like you are not having an OS on it or your Direct Drive is creating issues. See if you can remove that and if things change. Your computer may just need a bit of help to be restored to its former glory. your sad mac code starts with 01 which could indicate a RAM issue which can be caused by bad caps on the logic board. Time to open it up, inspect it and to clean a few things off. Post some good pictures of your boards and your setup so we can see what you see, Adding images to an existing question
