Hi @kathleenfg,

What is the model number of the dishwasher?

Do the dishes feel warm/hot and dry at the end of the complete cycle?

Are the dishes clean at the end of the cycle?

Are you using a powder detergent or a tablet detergent in the dishwasher?

Hi jayeff,

Thanks for answering.

GE Model # GLD4100M 15BB

The dishes do feel hot at the end of the cycle and seem to be clean, although I can still smell the Cascade so I'm not sure there isn't a film left on the dishes. (?)

I am currently using Cascade Platinum pacs and have also used simple truth packs. Same result of soap suds remaining at the bottom of the dishwasher after the cycle has completed.

I would like to be able to fix this myself rather than hiring someone to fix whatever the issue is ($$$). Thanks again!!

Add white vinegar to the rinse aid dispenser. After weeks of running the dishwasher on empty nothing seemed to help the sudsy water in my dishwasher. It was very sudsy not just a little at the end of the cycle. I was reading online about different solutions and a few of them discussed adding white vinegar to the dishwashing tub...but that it didn't really work. Also I saw a video of someone taking the dishwasher apart to rinse the soap and rinse dispenser. I put the two together and decided to add some white vinegar to the rinse aid dispenser. Voila!!! it worked!

Hi @kathleenfg

Here's the mini manual for the dishwasher that may help.

It details how to run the dishwasher in service test mode so that you can check if the main components are all functioning correctly or not. (Scroll down to 2nd page, left side of page).

Hopefully a start to finding out what is happening or perhaps I should say, not happening ;-)
