I’m buying some broken dsi so fix as a problem I know how to replace screens and change the shell but one apparently has a broken charging port and when I try to find a new one to but I find an a model and a b model and idk if there is a difference or how to tell or what one the dsi will need

If you are talking about a USB port, the A port is a flat rectangular connector and a B port is a square connector. I doubt either is on the device. An A port is on a charger or computer. A B port is on a printer. Normal device ports are Mini or Micro. Newer ports are C.
You can look them up to see what they look like.
