I've had this problem before and it was about the calculate in the water building up in the pipes but since we've got a filter and that solved the issue.

What is the model number of the dishwasher?
Things to check to avoid getting white spots on the glass dishes:
- Check that the dishwasher's water hardness setting is correct for your location.
- Check that the water softener (salt) dispenser is full.
- Check that you're using the correct amount of dishwasher detergent, if not using combined detergent/rinse aid tablets.
- Check that the rinse aid dispenser is not turned off, if not using combined detergent/rinse aid tablets
The user manual should detail how to change the settings for the water hardness and the rinse aid
