Black Screen + No Disk/Bootable Device found, including on Bios

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please help, my Acer Swift laptop SF114-32 has a permanent black screen. When searching the Bios "No Bootable Device" found. I guess either the SSD and/or the Graphics card have failed - I've already removed the battery and re-seated the SSD (128Mb) card and put back together but no improvement.

What do I do next to try and fix it myself please?

I would appreciate your feedback.

According to the specifications for the laptop I found online, the laptop uses an iGPU for graphics i.e. there is no separate GPU card, the Intel UHD 605 graphics is integrated with the CPU.

If you can view the BIOS screens this indicates that the CPU (and iGPU) and the rest of the PC hardware (except perhaps the SSD or possibly but not likely the motherboard's sata controller) are OK.

Does the BIOS show that the SSD has been detected i.e. make and model number of SSD seen in BIOS? Not sure when you said No Disk/Bootable Device and then "....searching the Bios "No Bootable Device" found."

If the SSD is detected by BIOS as connected but there's No OS found this could be due to a corrupted GPT (or MBR) table in the SSD i.e. the SSD can communicate with the BIOS OK but the BIOS cannot boot i.e. load the OS from it due to no or corrupt booting information.

If it does show that the SSD has been detected in BIOS, create a Win10/11 recovery USB drive and then boot the laptop using that to see you can fix the problem.

A USB recovery disc can be created from any known working Win10/11 PC. All you need is an 8GB USB flashdrive and 40-60 minutes of time.

In the host PC go to Control Panel → Recovery → Create a Recovery Drive and follow the prompts.

When you have the USB drive, insert it into the laptop and then start the laptop and press F12 to change the boot order to USB 1st boot device (or enter BIOS and go to the Boot menu and change it there, Save the changes and exit BIOS and restart the laptop).

It should boot using the USB flashdrive and go to the Windows Recovery Environment menus.

When in WRE menus go to Troubleshooting → Advanced → Startup repair and follow the prompts. Do not select Reset this PC because if you select the wrong option after this you might erase all your data as Windows will be reinstalled.

If the SSD hasn't been detected in BIOS, then it is either the SSD or a problem on the motherboard.
