How change a switch button (share, pause, ps button)?

I accidentally broke a switch button on my dualsense Edge. To be more specific, it is a gold colored tactile switch. I bought a new one but I don't understand how I should solder it to the motherboard. Thank you

@mirkoprota It seems like the switch is soldered at the four corners of the button (hence the silver). In this case, there are a few ways to remove the switch. You could use hot air to liquify the solder and remove the button. Another way to do it would be to put the soldering iron on one of the soldered corners (being careful not to touch the plastic), then lifting the corner of the button, removing the soldering iron, and waiting for the solder on the pad to cool, then releasing the corner of the button. You would then proceed to do that for each soldered corner.

To put the new button back on, you could either apply solder to each pad, line the button up, and use hot air to melt the solder (using tweezers or similar to make sure the button gets into the correct position), or try to hand solder each corner of the new button down until all 4 corners are soldered.

For either of these approaches you will need a small amount of solder and a soldering iron. You will also need a hot air gun for the second one (hair dryers will probably not heat the board up enough).

When using hot air, be careful,.as plastics may melt, and components may shift or come off the board. You can prevent some of this using Kapton (polymide) tape, but you should take care when using hot air.

Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns, or if you need advice on purchasing the required tools.

Thank you very much, your advice is very precious, not being a professional in the electronics field, I didn't know Kapton, but I will start using it immediately. Thank you again
