How do you replace / remove the internal hard drive?

Here's the hardware maintenance manual taken from this support webpage for the laptop.

Go to p.44 to view the procedure to remove the HDD so that it can be replaced with an SSD.

You will need to source a 2.5" sata SSD.

The laptop supports SSDs having a capacity of up to 4TB (4000GB). Ensure that you get one that comes with a 9.5mm spacer. The spacer is positioned under the SSD to raise it to the correct height so that it aligns correctly with the motherboard sata connection. (Note: the SSD is only 7mm high and the HDD is ~17mm high that is why the spacer is required)

Most reputable SSD suppliers also provide free cloning software (software download link and password provided with SSD) so that you can clone the HDD to the SSD before removing it, so that you will have a seamless upgrade. Search online for how to clone laptop HDD to SSD to see how to do this.
