New Battery not compatible?

Hi everyone, I got a MBA 13" A2337 not turning on, did some test to figure out what is causing it not to turn on. Checked the battery on the test pins and was only 7V of the 11V the battery is supposed to, give it some charge but it was not going anywhere past 7V (7.41V to be more precise). All the other parts where fine and with no visible damage at all, so I decided to test if there is no damage on the Logic Board too and temporarily switched the Logic Board to another MBA of the same year but with a working battery (and a known Logic Board damage) and it turned on and worked fine. That lead me to conclude that it was a battery problem and ordered one (Egoway for the price), but now it won't turn on even with the new battery, the only thing it does is getting hotter on the heat sink and the connector to the IO board, not even turning off works since it only keeps getting hotter until I disconnect the battery. Might be a battery issue again (a cheaper option being the problem)? Noticed the board on the battery is quite different on both of them. or might be an IO board issue also? no longer have access to the other laptop so can't test that. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me

Update, it was an IO board fault indeed. Disconnected the IO board to test it, and it turned on no problem.
