1 Can this iPhone 5c be recovered?
I found my old iphone 5c it looks like it had some water damage and the screen was cracked. I remember about 8 years ago i dropped it and the screen stopped working. I was able to remove the screen and it is it a little rusty. Is it worth it trying to recover it I did have some photos i didnt get to save. I bought a new screen and battery hoping it could at least power on. I also accidentally cut the top ribbon under the battery but the bottom one is still connected Any thoughts?

Pictures would help us understand the damage done a bit better letting us give a better diagnosis. First step however is to make sure the motherboard is clean and doesn't have any corrosion or other damage. A bit of isopropyl alcohol and a brush should do the trick if there is any. Depending on damage ofcourse.

Just added some now. I was able to power the phone on for a brief moment and then it shut down and has not turned on. It has been on a charge for the past 30 minutes.

@coachb6185 you would need to try a new charge port, chances are the board has damage aswell due to the amount of rust around the rest of the logic board
