TV doesnt power on the backlight.

Hi guys! Recently i bought a Philips 58PUS6203/12 TV and i don't have a picture but i have sound. I can turn it on with the remote and i saw the leds blinking in the back when i turned it on. I tested the backlight with a tester and it was okay with the plug i disconnected from the power supply board. Then while the tv was on i plugged back in after i powered the backlights on with my tester. Then it was giving me a picture after i plugged back into the power supply board. I was like okay now its working. I pulled out the cable from the ps board and i put it back together. After that it wasnt working again correctly. My guess that its a power board issue. What do you guys think? I checked a few parts with my multimeter.

Hi @patriknemeth

Did you check the soldering on the PSU board connectors where you pulled the cable out from? Also checked the ends of the cable itself for corrosion etc?

Here's the service manual for the TV that may help.

On p.57 (of 103) there's the schematic of the PSU board for your model. Hopefully that may help you to isolate where the problem is.

Yess i checked, but one of the transistor had a burn near its feet. It was nearby the connection of the led aswell.

The picture is too blurry to see if it is or not especially when zooming in

Either the transistor is overheating or it is faulty. Remove it and test it to check.

If faulty, the transistor model number or type should be should in the schematic. Look for the transistor's board designation to find it in the schematic. It should start with a "Q"
