Why does my ps3 not turn on after pressing the power button?

2 years ago the console fell to the ground and since then it turns on but does not show video and the worst of all is that it has a red light to turn on. After that the console turns on and shows the green light but after that it turns off and It does not show video or signs to turn on the fan, and the red LED no longer lights up otherwise there is no light. Could someone please help me. I don't have a multitester to be able to verify that something happened due to the fall. If you have experience or something similar happened to you, please respond. Thank you very much.

Ah yeah, saw a lot of those PS3 Super Slims with this kind of issue.

Unfortunately I have bad news… it is motherboard related and most of the time it’s the CPU… Please disassemble the PS3 first and check the motherboard.

Probably the CPU need to be reballed. This is not easy. Do you have any experience with soldering? If not, it’s for the best to bring it to a local repair shop to let them do it.

You can do a reflow, this is easier and you can do this with a heat gun by yourself if you follow the instructions carefully. But most of the time this fix is temporary. Not sure for how long, that depends…

Ignore the disassemble, Start from step 42. This guide is for the PS3 Phat, but the reflow process is the same.
