The plastic panels on the side om my laptop started to chip away in the corners, other than that the computer works fine so I don't want to replace it. I couldn't find a replacement for these panels online, just covers for the back of the computer. Is there a way to fix this?

There are no separate panels on the side of the laptop.
The sides are part of the lower case assembly
Here's the parts list for the laptop.
Click of Select Commodity to find the part numbers for all the replaceable parts in the laptop.
The laptop case comprises the lower case assembly (select Covers (4), the lid cover, bezel and hinge covers (select LCD parts (5) and the upper case (select C-cover with keyboard (64).
Search online for the part number only of the part you require, to find suppliers that suit you best.
Here's the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop that may also help. It details the procedures to remove/replace all the replaceable components from the laptop.
