Send it to an outfit that does these things professionally.
Self repairs are great when they work out but when they
don't, cut your losses and run. It's already cost you more
than having it professionally done in the 1st place so don't
add more expense to it by buying more parts and messing
that up too.

That comment is no help what-so-ever. If this person intended to get a "professional" to fix it they wouldn't have come onto iFixit in the first place!
