Hi @troyn,

Just verifying that it is a 13hp Kohler engine and not a 14hp Kohler engine?

There's a Bluebird with a 14hp Kohler - model number is CH400K. The CH440 is the Honda engine model.

Here's the user manual that may help.

The Kohler engine model is # 968160040 and the Honda engine model is 698160041 in the manual.

There's a parts list at the end of the manual.

If it is the correct one, for a part search online for Bluebird (insert part number) to find suppliers that suit you best.

If it's not the correct one, apologies.

Many of those knockoff engines are based on older battle-tested Honda designs, known as "Chonda engines"; even the Predator (HF) engines are clones of the Honda engines. Look up the engine part number and then look around to see which Honda motor Kohler cloned -- that will be your best bet to find the parts you need.

Hi @nick

Looks like we've got it covered both ways.

You read it as looking for Kohler engine parts and I read it as looking for Bluebird chipper parts.

Cheers

@jayeff As long as we know the engine model specifically called out as the type on that, that will be what you use to find out. But usually it's a clone of the Honda GX engines. The CC is how you figure it out.
