Why my battery cannot be recognized

Is it a replacement battery?

If it is, just verifying that it has one of the following FRU numbers (printed on the right side of the battery), 01AV430, 01AV431 or 01AV494 indicating that it is compatible with the laptop?

Try uninstalling the Microsoft ACPI-Control Method battery drivers in Device Manager.

Go to Device Manager > Battery

After they're uninstalled, close all open windows and then restart the laptop in the normal manner.

During the following startup, Windows will reinstall the drivers. Check if it all works OK now.
