13 inch beige mono audio crt tv from 1986

SONY KV-14LT1E with issues on the image

The TV shows a ver strange behavior on the image, could you help me identify if the issue is for example a bad capacitor or something that I could be able to fix it, it's been a while since I touch electronics, on this link there is some videos of the issue but here is a photo.

Hi @oldturkey03,

Thank you for your reply, I thought about the caps, but I wanted to make sure, I will remove the PCB and take some photos, I might need some help with that adjustment :), but let me first focus on the caps.

Again thank you and also thank you for the service manual I couldn't find it.

@tiagocorreia it is easily possible that this is not one capacitor but that you may have to recap the TV. After all, it is now what something like 25yeas old :-) Post some good pictures of the boards with your Question. That way we can see what you see and maybe we even find some oddities. Adding images to an existing question

Once you recapped your boards, you may have to do some adjustment on the Flyback transformer etc. For that use the Sony KV 14LT1E service manual. Please remember that this is a CRT that can generate some pretty high voltages. Those do pack a punch if you get zapped on it. Make sure that you discharge the CRT before working on it etc.
