Broken display connector on logic board, fixable?

I have an old MacBook Pro from 2012. I opened it recently and saw that the display connector was a bit loose. I tried to put it back in, but the connector on the logic board immedietaly came off on one side.

I am aware that I cannot fix it at home. But is it generally doable?

@zxcvf take another picture but remove the debris from the old connector. Let' see what the damage is like. Hopefully it's just minimal so that anyone with some good soldering skills can repair this. It is not a complicated as it may look :-)

The connector is a iPex 20525-130E-01 you may want to check eBay or Aliexpress and see what the cost is. The Canadian prices I 've seen are rather high. Give PicoRepair in Halifax a call since they did come recommended by other Canadian Microsolder experts

The connector can be replaced, the logic board traces may need repair as often times the lifting of connector damages them.

You may also have a damaged display cable as well if it wasn’t seating properly.

Where abouts do you live maybe we can aim you to someone who can help you, just give us your country and nearest major city.

@zxcvf - Ouch! Don’t know of any shops around there, I think you’ll need to ship it to a shop. The best one for this task is just outside Buffalo New York, iPad Rehab contact them first.
