Samsung UN55h6203 Remote Control Stops Working

I have an older Samsung UN55H6203 LED TV. Recently the remote control has stopped working. If I unplug the TV for a little while and then plug it back in it will control the TV. And then in a few minutes it won't. TV will play all day long but can't be controlled. Remote is not at fault, I can shine it at a camera and it is emitting. Tried cleaning the sensor area but didn't help. Was going to try using a phone app but even though the TV says it is connected to the internet it cannot connect to the app. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

@pippa4368 your TV has a small board on the right hand side when you remove the cover. that is the function/IR board. Check that to make sure that is is not the reason why your TV does not work with the remote.

@pippa4368 you could just check the voltages as shown in the image. If you want to go that way, remove the back cover and post some pictures of all of your boards. that way we can see what you see and hopefully guide you all the way. Adding images to an existing question

thank you again. this weekend i'll pull the back to inspect as you suggest. just a little more information - there is no red standby light when the tv is off, the jog button only allows me to increase or decrease volume, and the tv power cannot be turned on or off using the button. volume change only works for a minute or two and then stops working at the same time it stops receiving IR signals. i'm tempted to order a replacement part, they are less than $10 but i'll wait until i take the back off.

@pippa4368 this is one of the situation where I would say its okay to replace a board without checking it due top the inexpensive cost. Let us know what you find out.

took back off and checked part number. ordered board. will let you know if it works.
