I bought this used Xbox controller, and I think it has stick drift. Does anyone know if it could just be a simple software issue, or will I have to replace the whole joystick?
Right joy stick gets stuck rising from 20% to 70% up, then when you use the stick it resets and rises again. I would send a video but I don’t know how.

It's almost always a hardware issue. You can try recalibrating it in the settings of your xbox or PC.
Then try cleaning it by spraying compressed air into the joysticks. You can also try carefully applying isopropyl alcohol and moving the sticks around, but be sure to let it dry fully before powering it back on.
If these two don't work, it's going to be a faulty joystick.
