There's a relay that is operated by the fuel door switch to operate the fuel door lock motor.
Check if you can hear it operating when you operate the fuel door switch
Unfortunately I can't find where it's located as it's not mentioned in any of the instrument fuse panel fuse block diagrams I've looked at.
It may be behind the fuse block as looking at the wiring diagram for the 2016 model (it's the same cct for 2014-2019) it is in the same location as the fuses for the fuel door.

what have u checked? It is electrically operated, so start with the fuses. Past that, it requires wiring and chassis diagrams to be able to trace the wires and get at the solenoid ******that releases the latch.

Thanks, Bill I had already checked the fuses and they are good
