PSP 1001 left bumper not working

Hi, I bought a Tactile Buttons mod for my PSP 1001. The right buttons (cross, triangule, square and circle) and de dpad works without issues, but the left bumper (L) doesn’t work. Further testing found out that while the faceplate is off the bumper works correctly but once a put the faceplate back on it stops working. Even when placing the OG buttons the L button stills fails in the same way.

Any idea what could be happening?

Hard to say. Is it possible to upload pictures regarding the mod? Also regarding the L button and the faceplate? Is everything original? Thank you!
