Check that the hydraulic fluid in the power steering fluid reservoir is between MAX and MIN.

@robertkeyrouz does it get easier throughout the day or is it always the same? What have you already checked and what have you already tried? Common causes for this are low power steering fluid, a failing power steering pump, or a binding intermediate steering shaft. Let us know if you have already checked the power steering fluid and let us know what engine size your Jeep is.
